We understand that moving out can be stressful, and we want to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step overview of our move-out policy, including how to provide notice, expectations for returning the property, and details on the final inspection and security deposit. By following these guidelines, you’ll help us process your move-out quickly and efficiently—letting you focus on settling into your new home with peace of mind.
30-Day Written Notice: We require a 30-day written notice of your intent to terminate the lease. Make sure to submit this in writing (email or letter) to our office.
Return in Original Condition: The property must be returned in the same or better condition as when you moved in, excluding normal wear and tear.
Move-In Inspection Reference:
Lockbox Placement: We will place a lockbox on the door prior to your move-out date.
Scheduling & Lockbox Code: Schedule your move-out date and time with us. We’ll provide the lockbox code at that time.
Key Return: Place all keys in the lockbox on your scheduled move-out day.
Inspection Timing: Once you’ve placed the keys in the lockbox, we will conduct a move-out inspection within four (4) days.
Assessment of Damages: Any damages beyond normal wear and tear will be documented, and associated costs may be deducted from your security deposit.
Forwarding Address: You are responsible for providing us with a valid forwarding address for the return of your security deposit.
Deposit Return Timeline: We will mail your deposit (minus any applicable charges) within thirty (30) days of receiving the keys to the property.
